Hello and welcome to scribbles by floss! My name’s Elise Florence and I’m a pet and wildlife artist.

Although I’ve always had a passion for drawing and painting generally, my inspiration for creating pet portraits was our family rescue dog, Rolo. I decided to draw him using coloured pencils, absolutely loved it and haven’t looked back since. You can find him in the gallery and see where I started!

It’s such a pleasure capturing a client’s beloved fur baby and i’m so grateful to call this my job. I work in a range of different media- coloured pencils, watercolour, graphite and oil. I’m always open to trying out new media, surfaces and composition styles so please feel free to reach out via my contact form if you have something more unique in mind.
